SMPC recognized as among the best in corporate governance

Following the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS) recognition in the region in January 2021, SMPC received the Golden Arrow Award for being among the top-performing Philippine publicly-listed companies (PLCs) at the domestic level.

Philippine PLCs scoring over 80 points in the 2019 ACGS Assessment are conferred the Golden Arrow that symbolizes the continuing efforts of Philippine PLCs to raise the level of compliance with the ASEAN corporate governance principles. The virtual ceremony was hosted by the Institute of Corporate Directors on February 19, 2021.

The ACGS is an assessment tool initiative of the ASEAN Capital Markets Forum measuring the governance practices, standing and performance among the ASEAN PLCs based on publicly-available information and benchmarked against international best practices on corporate governance.
